Poor extended warranty

Own a 2015 Kia Sedona. Bought an extended warranty May,2017. Current warranty ends April 2020. New warranty starts April 2020 until 2025. Paid 3626.70 for it. April 2019 rear ended and vehicle totaled. Wife hurt. Kia protect gave only sympathy but when I asked to transfer the warranty to a new Kia or recognize the claim free reward option-a refund cheque of the amount paid for your contract inclusive of taxes up to $1000. They appeared to be amused. They have no claims for the upcoming year of the present warranty and of course no claims for the 2020-25 warranty. After contacting several people they all have sympathy for my wife and her injuries but recognize no obligation to a Kia customer for over 10 years. (Who is the sucker) This information is to be shared with all media outlets in Calgary and outlying cities.

Kia protect is sold as kia product

The engine in my wife's Kia soul overheated to the point of failure and because of one late oil change out of 10 services to 85,000 km our claim was denied with Kia Protect. The part that actually failed was the head gasket. The car just came off the regular warranty and we have never made a claim before. We had the 5 star warranty which cost us $2000 at the time of purchase. It took 2 weeks for Kia Protect to come to a decision and now the repair is on us. The customer service was as bad as i have ever experienced. Kia Protect is not owned or operated by Kia. This is a blatantly fraudulent company and should be avoided at all costs.
